Out of Office
My most popular reads to enjoy while poolside, stuck in the airport or seeing out the end of summer at home.
I’m in Puglia at the moment, spending a week doing, well, not much at all if I’m honest. It’s a total switch-off. Days include slow mornings having coffee on the terrace of our Airbnb. Reaching for my pile of books for a couple of hours of reading in the sun. A long lunch in the shade. A dip in the sea. Maybe a nap. Followed by a spritz and a big bowl of pasta. Il dolce far niente and all that.
The week leading up to this trip was a bit of a scramble to meet work deadlines, get that pedicure my feet have been crying out for and remind myself that I’ll probably wear the same thing most days so no, I don’t need to pack six different pairs of trousers. We’re heading to Zürich for a long weekend on our way back to the UK so packing clothes to work for both destinations has been… interesting, so that’s taken up a bit more space in my brain than perhaps necessary.

So there’s no new newsletter from me this week. Instead, I’ve rounded up some of my most popular reads from the last few months, in case you missed them, you’re new here or you fancy reading them again.
I’ll see you next week with a big post about what I did pack and wear. Until then, arrivederci.
How to Feel Like "You" in Summer
Whenever summer rolls around, I have the same conversations with slightly panicked friends who have no idea what. to. wear. Maybe it's because we live in the UK and dressing for warm weather is something we're just not accustomed to?
I Want to Look Like Myself On My Wedding Day
I’m getting married next summer. It’s a good 12 months off but as I’ve come to learn, wedding planning is a beast all of its own and we’ve only managed to tick a few things off our to-do list. A year doesn’t feel long at all.
Is a Chore Jacket the Ultimate Summer Layer?
Apologies to any non-Brits reading this but you will find me talking about the weather most weeks here on The Jones Report. In this place I call home, temperatures can dramatically shift from one day to the next which makes getting dressed… tricky. Last weekend, I was on the beach in a bikini, a bottle of Factor 50 and a
Recreating Looks from My Unexpected Summer Style Icons
The thought of summer being mere weeks away feels all kinds of exciting. Long, light nights are on the horizon. Evenings spent on the beach, a beer and a takeaway pizza in tow, are within reach. A long weekend in northern France and a week in southern Italy are being penned into the diary.
The Tools I Use to Keep My Clothes Looking Their Best
There’s a lot of chatter in fashion about how we make this industry less wasteful. Fast fashion is still rife, and we’ve got a long way to go before more responsible and ethical manufacturing practices are commonplace, but I welcome the shift in greater awareness around consumption and how our clothes are made.

What a lovely trip! I hear you on the 6 pairs of trousers 😂
I’m headed to Zurich in a couple weeks and have been trying to get a handle on what the street style scene is like there. Would love to hear your observations once you’re back!
